Did you find joy in your travel in 2017

To end the year, I went on a short flight to Seattle and it got me thinking about my year of travel. I realized how I have been blessed to have the experiences of the past year and how 2017 provided a great start for our business, B&B Journeys.

My epiphany became clear as I waited for the Link Light Rail, which is an easy connection from SeaTac airport.  As I headed downtown to the waterfront I thought about going to Pike Place market. Well that got me thinking of having a Bloody Mary at Lowell's restaurant (remember that blessed part) and a nice breakfast as well to help keep me straight! Guess where I ended up!

You know the Market has been called a tourist trap but if you start your morning there, it really is a fun way to see the city wake up. It keeps pulling me back for the activity and the view, oh, and the afore mentioned Bloody Mary's.

I walked out to the Elliott Bay front, took a few photos and reveled in my good fortune as I enjoyed what I was doing at that moment. Travel creates moments for you to remember!

As I was heading back to the airport I was again, counting my blessings about how lucky I was to have people believe in me and to trust me with their travel dreams as well.

I know it sounds corny but it gives me great joy to help introduce people to good travel and what it can mean to their life.

When was the last time that you noticed the wonder in a child's eyes, when they saw their first airplane or train up close?

How about seeing sites, that you only imagined or saw on television before but you have craved to visit?

I know how much I enjoy trying foods that set my sense of taste and smell on edge with delight.

When you immerse yourself in a culture and cannot speak the language, you have so much fun using any means possible to communicate with that person.

These are the joys of travel and stepping out of your everyday comfort zone. This is why I feel blessed and you should too!

Take the time to create your travel moments this year!
